In HKD #2

I'm back to my hongkong trip after editing a few pictures. I'm blessed that I have alot of pictures on the second day itself because after that day, the vibe just go away so not much photos are taken. I didn't want to put on so much make up so I didn't camwhore alot either. What's nice is , we have dslr this time round and every picture make a huge difference. Depending on iphone4s is not enough.

We wake up around 7 in the morn' or later and get ready for the whole day out. It's nice not going with the tour because everything is flexible. I'd suggest that if you're going on a trip with your friends , you will have the circle small and made sure that everyone have the common things to do. Going with too many people isn't good tho. Or maybe, I'm just a loner by myself .

Tourist picture in the train station ;

I just wanted to check how my black & gold outfit goes.

Does it give you a tingling feeling?

It screams , good morning hongkong!

This is so totally hongkong movie style. Even the McD seems vintage being located below the flats people stay. They normally stay in flats/apartments as the space is limited in hongkong. Not to mention, their lifestyle is pretty high. I really don't know how a big family live in such limited space with one toilet only.

We are here to get some typical hongkong breakfast! If I'm not wrong, this is at Mongkok and the rating is pretty high. The people in this shop is the friendliest among all the other shops we went in to fill up our stomach.

I'm really excited to show you the food!

This is called ' ZHA LEONG' in hong kong.

I think it's the skin of chee cheong fun wrapped with yau char koey instead. I swear it taste damn good. I am certain that we can't find this in Malaysia. I don't think one person should finish this because it's quite a big portion and of course, it's fattening.

It deserve to be up here twice, because I am amaze by it.

yums!

Porridge with century eggs and slight meat , which is one of typical Chinese food. Have I mention that I love porridge? It's feeling and not too heavy . Besides that, it makes me feel less guilty compare to eating rice. The amount the give is more than generous.

Fried mee , which taste really nice mixing with porridge. Not disgusting, I swear!

We also order yau char koay and soya bean , which is one of the most favorite combination for breakfast over there.

You don't know how much we ordered , and we are dead full. I never knew that this kind of breakfast in such chilly weather give me another kind of satisfaction. I don't think I would like to cramp in a shop like this in Malaysia. I'll spend more time wiping my sweat , complaining how hot is it than enjoying my food.

Hey.

You're probably not interested in me

so

say Hi to Bernice seducin you with her chopstick , lol.

And after this good meal, we went outside and enjoy the hongkong breeze again. I really love the weather there - it's around 13-17 degress . It's just right.

And some street shots for ootd cos' I'm a tourist!

#ootd

and ,

I think this picture of me and KW is good.

What a good morning for day2 !

Can't wait to throwback more :)

Renoma Cafe Gallery.

I spend more than a little while to sort out all my pictures , and now they are finally all up. I need sometime to get my hong kong pictures from everyone so I need to cut post inbetween. It's nice that if I don't have anything to blog about, I could blog about my vacation in hong kong.

So the other day ,  around a week I came back from my vacation - Jacinth and I went to Renoma Gallery Cafe for their Christmas themed afternoon tea. It was raining and I woke up late . What worse is, WAZE actually fail on us bringing us to the jam in KL making both of us scrunching up our face . It didn't matter , as long as we get there.

This is the menu .

I was trying out my camera because my phone camera is actually dying.

What makes December one of my favorite month of the year is , pretty Christmas decorations. I love how romantic and festive the ambiance is. The best is, the surrounding is actually quiet enough. I really love lights and stuff ( if you get what I mean) .

This picture is so artistic .

It's really nice that they have vintage pictures or old furniture by the side to bring out the overall feeling.

The set looks little and small, but we didn't finish it. It's funny how both of our appetite get smaller each day. We see each other almost every single day, and it's crazy.

The chocolate cake was a no-no for us because we both don't like chocolate. The macaroon is good but it's nothing to the Pierre Herme Bernice bought for me in HK. The others was a so so. The scones is really feeling tho.

As usual , I order cappucino to fix my caffeine addict.

I was so kiasu that I want a picture with the Christmas tree. It looks more prettier for instagram. I swear that everyday I only find reasons to take pictures.

I'm pretty annoyed how I look mean when I don't smile. #naturalbitchface problems.

I really like this place because of how beautiful the interior is. It's pretty pricey and only good enough for occasions if you're planning to have dinner. For afternoon tea and lunch, it would be perfect. I wish the staff there would attend us more quickly or work with our request better.

I really love spending my afternoon with one of my girlfriends , with a cup of good coffee and quiet ambiance. I never fancy big outings because it will get damn messy and noisy.

Till then.

In HKD #1

Every year end, I would like to treat myself to go on a vacation with friends. Last year is bangkok , this year we all settle down on Hongkong instead. I'd never been to hong kong and I'm looking forward to the very chinese culture I'm watching on TVB which is not disappointing at all despite the people there are honestly rude. I still couldn't accept the fact that the waiter or attendants raise their voice or use sarcasm while talking to their customers. I think it's very important in manners in service field. I definitely wouldn't want to pay for a good meal with bad service which ruin my mood for the whole day. Even if I didn't get them , I still don't like seeing them doing it to other people.

That isn't important right now because I should conclude my thoughts at the end of the posts of this vacation.

Our plane depart at 1pm or so , and reach hongkong around 430pm or so.

I spend an hour to read in the plane , camwhoring , laughing at KW disturbing others and look out of the window. I really love sitting at the window side in the plane. Sadly, we didn't depart at night if not the view will be magnificent.

By the time we reach the airport and settled with our inquiries and luggages , the sky is already turning dark although it's only like 5/6pm. It's winter in HK so the night tend to come faster.

:)

The weather was much warmer than I thought , around 19 degrees. I actually walk around with short sleeves on , thinking why are the people wearing wool and super thick trenchcoat when the weather is actually bearable. I did eat my words up when the wind blows , other than that I think I could take the cold. A cardigan would be good enough with my outfit but I'm too lazy to take it from my luggage.

We went to the apartment we rend on AirBNB in Jordan , as they claimed that it's a strategic place. We did took sometime to find it but it wasn't that bad because we do not have the hot sun, like we have in Malaysia. The apartment is pretty small but really clean and tidy. Not to mention we only need to pay around RM 600++ a night for 6 of us in that apartment , which is a whole lot cheaper than staying in the hotel. It's pretty worth it , I could say.

By the time we are done with this, our stomach is already growling so we walk down the streets to feel the vibe of hongkong which makes me pretty overwhelming - and of course, hunt for dinner. I really love walking on the streets in a foreign country , looking at the people, feeling the breeze. It's really telling me that, I am on a vacation in a different country.

Pretty lights .

And we settle down for typical hongkong wantan mee ,

Like they say , their food is really pricey.

I was surprised that their wantan mee is not with black sauce. I order a basic one , with dumplings instead of wantan because I think it's more worth it with dumplings wtf. Personally, I think that wantan mee in Malaysia taste better because I don't really like the " Dan Ga" texture of the mee in hk. I thought it would be tasteless , but really - it's good. The dumplings is totally different from the ones you could find here . I could say that 40HKD was actually pretty worth it. But, I didn't finish the mee because I have to leave room for the others.

Almost immediately after that , we went to look for steamed milk which I am eager to try .

I chose the hot one with ginger based , and god...it's really nice. I don't even want to share with anyone else or let them have a taste of mine because it's really nice. The texture is really smooth.

If you guys are visiting hongkong, please try this.

And #foreverfat, I bought " Kai Dan Zai" which is pretty familiar to you guys whom watch TVB series. I only had half because I'm too bloated from the food I mentioned above . The duration of us eating these is less than 3 hours. We could really eat, I swear.

Yums.

But Bernice say that, it's not the best tho.

It was pretty late after all these food hunt and walking around. It's really good being in another place with someone else , even if it feels more comfortable with your family ( because fam pays everything for you and you don't need to look at price :D ) . We go back really soon and have a good rest for the next day.

And lastly, your favorite ootd shot. In this case, I should call it airport fashion hahahaha.

J's on my feet .

till then.
