Banyan Tree Spa in Pavilion Hotel

It has been a while since I went for spa. The last time it was a surprise from my boyfriend for Valentine's so I'm pretty excited to head over to Banyan Tree Spa which is located in Pavilion Hotel for a good massage.

I am not a fan of full range spa packages - I usually go for body scrub and 1 1/2 hour of full body massage. I know that steam bath or Jacuzzi filled with flower petals are nice but I have no patience to be alone. I usually go for longer massages.

I've been to Banyan Tree Spa back in Bangkok the last time I was there and it was one of the best experience ever ; from the services to the skill of masseur and music - it was all perfect.

I went for the full body massage because this is what I need over the weekend.

There are three types of massage as you can see - Balinese, Deep Tissue and Gentle Touch. To be safe, I go for Balinese. Gentle Touch is not for me , and Deep Tissue is gonna give me blue black as I'm pretty sensitive.

In Banyan Tree Spa which is located in Pavilion Hotel, it is not completely open yet hence not all services are available. If you ever plan to visit, it is better for you to ring them up and inquire to avoid disappointments.

I'm awkward because my masseur was pretty enthusiastic to help me with pictures - not the best picture I have but I need to let you know that their bathrobe is really comfortable.

There are two types aromatic oil for me to choose which is Peace and Love.

Peace comes with a little blend of ginger with floral scent whereas Love comes with Rose and Lavender Scent with some herbs ; I chose Love. I always do.

My Spa starting with simple feet scrub with black salt.

Is it just me or do you guys feel awkward when someone is in this position in front of you?
I don't really like it when they sit-kneeling in front of me while helping me. I actually would like it when they grab a stool or something while doing it so that their knees don't hurt.
I actually tell her to sit comfortably but she is a professional masseur so she told me that it will be alright - so I was hoping the scrub ends faster because I was feeling awkward alone.

The whole 90 minutes was great , I was half asleep. I insist to keep myself awake so that I could feel every touch. One thing that is lacking is they forgot to play soothing music. If they did , the whole package will be even better.

Refreshment is served right after the massage.
They serve ginger tea which I love with honeydew and greek yogurt.

I enjoyed them alone in the room for a great 20 minutes before changing. I like how they give me my alone time after massage.

Banyan Tree Spa is always great with their spa , and I'm really happy that they have it here now. It's just a drive away to pamper yourself.

Now, I'm thinking when should I spoil myself again?

Cosans Coffee.

If you've been following me on social media , it's no surprise that I tweet about how much I need coffee or wanting to try new cafes. I post pretty coffee art pictures from time to time as appreciation towards the hard work of barista designing my coffee art.

I'm hooked with caffeine ever since a levels where I couldn't even sleep because there's too much to do. And ever since then, I slowly appreciate them by spending alot of money for a cup of good coffee.

Yes,
anything for a cup of coffee.

There's too many cafes and coffee shop mushrooming around - no matter in which area and it's hard to determine which serve the best coffee . Also, it's difficult for me to try them all and determine which one is my favorite and which is the best. All of them play the same strategy of marketing which honestly attract me alot - for example, their cozy interior and their style of making a cup of coffee.

No matter what, the best is always the quality.

Cosans Coffee ,
isn't a foreign name because it's definitely one of the most recommended place.

Their first branch is located at ss15 but I never had a chance to try them out . Now, they have their second branch at Solaris Mont Kiara which is somewhere that I always visit to catch up with my friends. That wasn't the only thing I'm glad about. I was also invited to their opening in Solaris to understand the concept of Cosans - which does not only involves good quality coffee , but good sandwich and concept of art which is futuristic.

Much feels.

I was given a complimentary drink and of course, I'll stay close to Cappucino.

You can see how thick the foam is, and you then know how long they steam the milk and so. I do not add sugar to my coffee , and I could say that it was overall moderate. It's not too thick nor too mild , which is nice. It's a personal reference. To be honest, it's one of the best Cappucino.

and of course,

they have their famous sandwiches in different kinds of healthy bread.

I had a taste of it myself, and really - it was good. Very fresh. The choice of bread was nice. Everyone do like things that gives you a varieties , no?

Sorry, just had to.

I've listened through the lecture about Cosans. I like how the owner want to market Cosans as our own Malaysian brand coffee just like the international brand, Starbucks. I pretty sure that it'll work out with the quality of coffee and food they offered.

Cosans doesn't only satisfy your taste buds , but giving you a lifestyle which you should adapt to. You don't only need to work hard in your life , you also deserve to enjoy the best quality to everything in life even if it's just a cup of necessity through the day.

I like how they let consumers feel that , noone should settle down with anything less than they deserve.

With the great opening, the famous were there and I got lucky to have a picture with them.

Amber Chia.

Jane Chuck.

Ashohtonic.

Attending the opening doesn't only let me have a taste of Cosans , about their food and beverages. It also educate me about how the coffee bean works and how they make their cakes and sandwich. I'm not completely devoted to coffee , but Cosans sure trigger my interest out with that.

This is their motto , printed at the back of every worker's shirt. And now, I truly understand them.

The concept of Cosans is marvellous and their coffee is worth a try. I'm not promoting but merely stating out facts. I guess, you just need to head there to find out all these goodness yourself.

And lastly,

I'm believing in great coffee of Cosans.

thanks for having me there.

Nuffnang Food Fest ' 13

Hey guys ,
I believe that you have heard about Nuffnang Food Fest held at Sunway Pyramid not long ago. This is quite a big event for nuffnang-ers . I've received two emails , one for myself and one for raqul reed regarding of this event.

I can't believe that made this event such a delightful one. Can you imagine you just have to tweet / instagram the initials they want you guys to , and then give you free food. It's really amazing that you just have to do something so simple in order to get your tummy filled. The event started at 3pm and ends at 10pm. So practically, you are going to have your brunch, coffee break , dinner and even early supper - without paying anything. ( Alright, maybe for the parking fee but seriously , you don't need to be stingy on that.)

Compared to the free meals, I'm more attracted to the sponsors they have. They have the very famous Burger Lab which is on going in trend , Chatime , Hummingbirds , Nandos , Juice Works , Crazy Potato and much more that you could think of. Trust me that there are no disappointing food over there. I really feel sorry for those who miss this event out. It's open to the public , as long as you have your phone with you . Of course you have to have data to tweet. If not, please beg somebody for hotspot and just screw the phone bill for once. It's not easy to have a taste of everything in a day!

I went there around 5pm because I had errands to run before this. I registered at the counter which was required on the email as a blogger. They have me one macaroon in pink which made my day. I was so thirsty so I headed to juice works first.

All I have to do is tweet ' #juiceworks #NNFest ' and they give me a free drink ! Even though it couldn't be compared to the usual size which I paid for , it's still good enough to quench my thirst.

I tweeted this because I was really happy. Was I that thirsty?

Then I went over to meet up with my babes because I actually told them about this the day before. I definitely don't want to go alone. When I reach, they are already queuing for Burger Lab!

I only had it once and it's was good. It definitely is gonna taste better, f r e e .

We just can't help it.

It's amazing how they have different type of petty every hour. One thing about them is they are always creative. It's so amazing how they could lure people back to their stall again and again, with different flavors. Who wouldn't want to try them all - what more without paying?

And this is me getting my mini burger snapping a pic to post on instagram :)

Perhaps it's smaller than the one you purchase in store. But honestly, you can't just whine over that since it's free of charge. Besides that, I'm really surprise at the size of their petty and the fillings they have inbetween the charcoal breads. Honestly, how could they be so generous of giving us so much when they are not charging? The cheese is already visible from far. You just don't know how blessed we look when we take the first bite - no exaggeration.

My pathetic going to melt nitrogen ice cream in mini size. This fun size is just good enough. I don't wanna filled my tummy with this , only!

Mini Ninja Joe burger, yums!

And,

Nandos in a cute box.

They are pretty generous too! And they even provide the sauce at the side for us to pour into our box! Yums!

And lastly,
the most generous -

CRAZY POTATO
The shop which is located outside of TGV Cinema in Sunway Pyramid. I remember how I used to sneak them in the cinema with my bag but it's worth it. I can't believe that they are giving out so many in a cup. Yes, each of us has a cup !

They offer Honey Mustard ( which is my favorite) , Mayonnaise , Cheese and Wasabi flavor.

Definitely gonna choose the honey mustard one. Holding nandos and the cup in one hand. Leave me alone to be greedy.

My love story with Chatime ;

YOU MEI YOU HEN XING FU?

I always love Chatime and my favorite drink is , Red Bean Milk Tea. They used to have seasonal drinks and one of my favorite is Taro Milk Tea but apparently, they don't sell that anymore. My sisters and I have chatime card each. We just love this so much , even my grandpa drinks it. They offer three kind of drinks and I took two - Pear juice and the coffee jelly milk tea. I think the coffee jelly one was great because it's pretty filling. Pear juice was the last thing I took for the day to quench my thirst, again. I like how there are pear fillings in the drink.

Seriously , chatime - why are you so awesome?

The BEST part of this event is,
they gives out FREE portable charger for people if their phones are lower than 10% in battery percentage or your phone completely died because you tweet too much for your food.

I definitely need this one because I went with a 80% and end up with a 6% in 3 hours time because I'm spamming my social media about this event. I was one of the lucky ones who get them because there are limited in stock.

It's so thin and light, plus it's in pure white.

That rhymes pretty well, lol. I'm really thankful for this because this is gonna save my life. I'm so sick of carrying the charger in my bag and desperately looking for plugs all around the place. I love smart phones but the battery definitely suck a whole lot.

I really did enjoy myself in this event and definitely, one of my favorite ones. What more can you ask for when you have free food in many choices , power bank and fun time with your friends?

I think FOOD FEST is a success!

How about you?

Did you enjoy it?
