This is probably going to be a photolog in Brighton Beach.  

The colourful boxes is definitely something not foreign since anyone who is in Melbourne will definitely visit this place, and take lots of pictures. I have a very good excuse because I'm a tourist. :)

The sand is really soft. When we just arrive , the sun is still there but after a while , the sky turn cloudy. Noone can ever predict Melbourne's weather.  However, it's still comfortable with the cold sea breeze. I don't even care if I can't smile because my face went stiff. It's really cold at one point, but I ain't moving anywhere ! 

I insisted on sun set!

The sky was pinkish-orange as the sun sets. When it gets darker, it's also colder. 

It's really relaxing to be by the beach with your friends, lying down on the sand. We just need pizza and a bottle of wine to complete this. No music is needed because the waves is the most comforting melody.

Auction Rooms.

A Sunday well spent brings a week of content. 

I agree with this quote. I am not sure what do you categorize Sunday as ; either it's the first day of the week or the last. I do not have a category for it. Often, I change it according to my mood. I usually put it as the last day of the week because I usually laze around on Sunday. I am already lazy enough , and I get even lazier on Sundays. Please imagine that. 

I thought I would be a little more energetic on Sundays when I'm on a holiday , but the lazy roots in me has already grow so deep that I couldn't change the habit anymore. So even when I'm in Melbourne, I have a very lazy Sunday. lol. 

Is it just me or I think Sunday brunch is important? 

We took the tram and travel to the North Melbourne to have brunch because we have all the time in the world. We didn't exactly plan what to do but to just follow the flow , which is something I like. I like impromptu things. 

We ended up at Auction Rooms for brunch , since the other one I wanted to visit is not open. 

It's fullhouse when we step in , and we didn't make any reservations so we waited. I guess Sunday brunch is something essential.

I really love how they have their coffee brew in the middle , allowing everyone to see it. I'm always amazed by how it works because I am curious with the coffee machine. I never wanted to be a barista because I know I can never deal with art. 

Coffee is like art to me because I take it VERY seriously , and I appreciate it a lot more than you can imagine. 

They have open air area and tree growing in the middle out of no where. If this happens in Malaysia, we will be probably feeding mosquitoes or sweat our asses off. 

Most of the people requested this area because it's really comfortable. The weather was a little cold and with the sun shining on you , just make a balance between both. I really don't want to burst your fantasies and imagination but they say Australians have a very high percentage of getting skin cancer world wide due to the UV rays. So , too much sun is no good too. 

Still giving thumbs up for the environment :)

It's 9am Malaysian time , ok! 

Cappucino to start the day . 

I know this just look like another cup of coffee to you. Perhaps you think that it's the same like the one we have here . I don't think I can convince you, but trust me - once you have a sip, you see another world. ( Maybe exaggerating , but it's pretty close to how I feel .)

Brűlée French Toast at 14aud .

It's french toast with sweet based , that taste like Creme Brűlée . One thing special about this dish is, they have bacon wrapped with Blue cheese which spice up. I always think that Bacon couldn't go well with sweet things , that's why I never tried Bacon Ice Cream. The Bacon tasted a little sweet cos' they're stuff with dates. 

Sorry that I couldn't explain this weird combo but I swear it was good. 

Coming to Melbourne make me change my mind about a lot of things that I thought that couldn't come together , is actually better than how traditionally it should be matched. 

Housemade Banana and Walnut Bread with Espresso Butter and Maple Syrup  at 10.50aud 

The hearty amount of walnuts and banana crumbs in the bread made me really happy. Not to mention that the bread was really soft and fluffy. I know that you may think that it's ridiculous to pay so much for two pieces of Banana Bread. The slices were pretty thick. And the maple syrup and espresso-based cream butter made it up. I never thought I would be happy with two slices of bread , lol. 

I recommend this because it's healthy and if you want to eat light. 

We chose toasts as our mains coincidently. And also to eat light if we want to visit other places , lol.

That's how I spend the last Sunday of August . It's also Malaysia Independence Day. I may be in Melbourne that time, but I still love my country. My heart lies within the corns please. hahahaha.

Calanthe Art Cafe.

This is one of the cafe I visited in Melaka , and this deserves an individual post because everything is too vintage. I could see that there is alot of effort being put in in this cafe, where the theme revolves around Malaysia before and after independence. 

Calanthe Art Cafe,

where is located at the famous Jonker Street. 

It was a little difficult for us to find this place until we had to waze it. It didn't really much attract any attention with their low profile exterior. I'm so glad we found it. Can you believe that 9 of us was walking under the sun for this? 

I need to show you pictures of their interior which is a 100% Malaysian themed or based. I'm so proud of this place because they have our country as their theme while other cafes I've visited actually go more to western style. This place deserves ten thumbs up!

Look at the effort just by a corner. 

They didn't use wallpapers, it's really hand painted! 

This is a whole heritage themed. 

You can even have your coffee here ; god, this gives me so much of feels I cannot explain.

I ordered Green Tea Flavoured Coffee , which represent Perlis .

Have I mention that their different types of coffee are categorized with the 13 states we have in our country?

Besides of stating the origin of how they get the beans to brew the coffee, they also remind us that we also have our local coffee beans which is in high quality. It took us quite sometime to think which state to choose from and some of us chose the state where our hometown is. For me, I am a 100% KL origin so I chose depending on the flavour.

I was surprised with the mixture of green tea and coffee , and it tasted really good. This combination may be weird, but definitely worth the try. 

Not to mention that the floral cup gives more girly vibe , lol.

Affogato , which represent Pahang if I'm not mistaken. 

It's definitely a yes when you have two best things combined - which is vanilla ice cream and espresso! 

I'm sorry that I couldn't snap the others because my mates drank it too fast. All of us were too excited with the kinds of coffee they offered. Even non-coffee lovers were surprise with their way of handling the orders. 

I can't deny that their theme and interior is the one that catch our attention. I didn't try out their local delights because we were heading for our dinner shortly after. 

This place is really beautiful. And I think, this cafe is definitely a good place for tourist. It doesn't only introduce our country indirectly, and it also shows the love towards our own country. It represents how people used to live back then. It is all about vintage. I guess, this cafe is the best in town. #powerMalaysian woohoo !

Besides of the beautiful environment, the coffee is good with reasonable price. Their food also have good reviews online. It's a pity how they do not get as much attention as they deserve. I seriously can't wait for this place to be famous, and allow more tourist to know about this place in heritage town. 

No one would actually think that Melaka has such place , right?
