York.

#1

I made a few day trips to different cities near Hull.

York,
would be the first stop because I have heard how beautiful the place is. And I am not going to deny the fact that this place is filled with charming old buildings and everything there is as good as it was described online.

Esther was over enthusiastic about making us sandwich but did not have time to pack them in the 'full' form so she decided to bring everything make us sandwich on the train.
I am not even joking - she brought the whole loaf of bread up the train.

The journey was about an hour and I made noise the whole time so noone sleeps. Everyone wakes up early and I do not allow them to sleep, lol. I was too energetic and excited.

Look at how beautiful it is.

I was on my way to the city and this magnificent view took my breath away.

#6

random selfie, lol.

#7

Queued for a little while for this famous brunch place called, Mannion&Co.

Infact, it was listed as one of the hidden gems in York for food despite it did not receive as much as reviews compare to the other famous ones. I'd prefer to visit those which are cosy and not more of a tourist place.

I believe that I have found the right place.

Hearty portion with quality food.

The place isn't big but it was still comfortable. The people there gives out good vibes with their friendly tone and heart-warming smile. The weather was a little gloomy but they've made me happy. The price may be slightly higher but it was all worth it.

#11

York Minster.

#12

#13

I don't know much about architecture but it's really beautiful.

You see, sometimes it's a loss that I do not have art-cells in me. I only know that it looks pretty, unable to describe how magnificent they are in words.

#14

Ye Olde Starre Inne is one of the most historic of the cities Pubs, graded II listed building and is said to date back to 1644.

#15

Look at how crowded it is by the main street of this old town, filled with little historical shops. While the next street will be the shopping street with the common brands you would find around.

#17

It started to rain heavily so we decided to have coffee break! - the best time of the day.

#18

Chose Brew and Brownie ( from my list of research) because apparently the brownie is to die for.

yes, to die for!
( and I don't even fancy chocolates!)

The one with nutella was surprisingly good with sprinkles of coffee powder on top.

And little Christmas market.

#21

#22

The Christmas market was small and there isn't much to see. They have typical shops that sells yorkshire pudding( -.- because we are in yorkshire area) and mulled wine. The vibes wasn't that strong as it's only the beginning of December.

There is something about Christmas that make me very happy.

#23

Chicken pate for starter!

And settled down at Rustique Restaurant for their famous course meals.

We were really lucky to have a place by walking in. They are always fully booked - what more on a weekend?

It must be our luck that day.

#24

We need to celebrate that with a bottle of wine.

What's a good meal without a bottle of wine?

lol.

Crepe.

#28

My choice of cheesecake.

Dessert was on the house.

lol, talking about luck. We indeed have plenty of that , that day.

#29

Rosy cheeks from the wine.

Lovin' this candid.

It was really a good meal.

The food quality was superb and I think that they are priced reasonably either with 2 course or 3 course meal. I guess the stars for their reviews are real.

The ice-cream on cheesecake was so good that I can have another slice if I am not that full.

My friends and I have been eating the whole day. oh gosh.

#32

It was really fun with you girls.

And after a good whole semi-fine dining, it rain so heavily. The wind was so strong that it broke my umbrella :(

So there we are , waiting for the rain to stop. And we are all half drunk, lol.

till then.
