Upstairs Cafe.

I'm back for more food post. There are so many new places in Subang which I want to try. But now , let's go back to the classic favourite place for breakfast.

We all know that The Upstairs Cafe is famous for their red velvet cake. However, I would give more credit to their breakfast menu available every morning. I just don't have luck when it comes to Upstairs Cafe because it's either closed or I would missed out their breakfast menu ( because I overslept) . It's very rare for me to sacrifice my sleep over food.

Their food is really presentable and all of them are so insta-worthy.

And let's come to what we have on the table ;

Cappucino at RM8 .

Their price of drinks are slightly lower than what you can find outside. I would want my cup of coffee to be hotter. It's more creamy , and I love it thicker. A cup of coffee is definitely your own preference.

Big Breakfast at RM16.90

Generous portion and this set comes with a cup of orange juice. I would give credit to their sautéed mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Harsh-brown goes so well with the gravy of the beans. Loving this breakfast set with their affordable pricing.

French Toast at RM 12.90

Something very new on their menu. This is one of the best french toast I've ever tasted. I love how soft and fluffy their french toast are. The sides of the bread are still have some crisp, making the whole texture on fleek. Their generous amount of fruits made me really happy. Instead of being all boring, there are some walnuts. Instead of the maple syrup, I tasted more sweetness from the fruits.
I would recommend you to order this because it's definitely my favourite!

This satisfaction, oh god.

Pancakes at RM 11.90

Classic pancakes covered with maple syrup for breakfast. Their pancakes are fluffy, very very fluffy. They are topped with berries, strawberries and chocolate chip. The chocolate chip melts a little when you pour the hot maple syrup over it. This brings their pancakes to another level. If you love your pancakes with whipped cream, just imagine half-melted chocolate chips with fluffy panckes with it. Yums.
Their presentation is very beautiful too ; definitely a girl's thing.

Red Velvet at RM 7.50

How can we forget about their classic red velvet cake?

It's a must order when you visit upstairs. Trust me that, once you have a bite of it, you wouldn't want to share it anymore.

And more pictures I've took that day because the lightning was so good.

and me.

Give me a credit because I made it for breakfast!

The sun shines right from the back.

This is the breakfast vibe.

Besides their breakfast, they have all-day menu too. I heard that they have super good cabonara which I have yet to try. I can't wait to return for more food.

till then x.

A mess in the best.

Half a year has passed, and it feels like just yesterday that I was on this page ushering you to have closure for your 2014. I am done with my exams and now, I'm on my long much needed break.
I do not have any plans of travelling though, I'm desperate for a getaway. I enjoy being alone but not to the extend of being able to travel to another place which I am not familiar with without any companion. I do not dare to do so yet, and I believe that someday I will do it because it is something that we should do in our lifetime.

We are not the same person we are yesterday. I didn't mean by us waking up after eight hours of sleep, and feel the changes. Someday , some things will acknowledge you that something in you have changed. Your perspectives , thoughts and feelings towards certain thing would not be the same as the past.
We move on, without us knowing. At one point, you just couldn't care less. You need to focus on yourself because youth is gold , and no one should be wasting it too much on unnecessary things. Draw a line between realistic and negativity. No one can completely feel how you feel despite them putting themselves in your shoe, because it's not happening to them. They may think that you spread negativity, but the emotions are within us so therefore, it's just a reality to us.

Everyone have their own problems, and something that runs through their mind every single day. Just because we are living well, it doesn't mean that we're completely filled with happiness. There are still gaps in between them. We just ignore it and count our blessings.

If you've allow yourself to go on with your daily routine every single day and do what you're supposed to do , you are doing a good job in living. Because this shows that you're able to weigh between something important. I know that there might be some people and some things that you can never get over. In fact, some things are better left this way and is not meant to be moving on from.
Just like words. Words could only be forgiven and not forgotten.

I know that sometimes you feel like a mess. In fact, I also feel like a mess all the time. I do get angry at myself, and hating how I can't do anything well. At one point, I feel like I'm good at nothing. We all feel lacking on certain days.

But I can assure you that , even you feel like a mess in your best, you are still looking beautiful in that dress.

cheers to june.

Alchemist Dessert Cafe.

It's no doubt that there are more places for us to hang out in ss15 besides mamak. I can't believe that now we have so many choices to hang out at night. There are normal restaurants , drinking places, cafes and not forgetting, more dessert shops.

There is this new dessert place which serves good waffles and toast. Of course, they have food and sorts but their speciality was on their Belgium waffles. It was a random night where we stumble across this place.

Alchemist Dessert Cafe which is located inbetween the streets of SS15. It is right opposite tryst. Also this place offers outdoor shisha.

RM 3 for their huge cup of iced lemon tea which is served like this. I find this unique compared to the normal clear glasses we get outside.

I guess this place goes to a more hipster style.

Look at those dessert, yum.

And that is a cup of hot chocolate which was very sweet.

Honey Ice Cream Shibuya Toast at RM 13.90

The toast was good but they are not cut in square pieces instead. This is definitely a sharing portion. It's really impossible for one to finish it. There are more choices available besides Honey. I heard that their Nutella Ferrero Toast was the best.

Chocolate Strawberry Icecream Belgium Waffle at RM 7,90

This is the cheapest Belgium Waffle I've encounter. Their strawberries are very fresh , however the waffle was lack of crisp. I'd prefer my waffle to be crispier. With the price, I think it's worth a try.

Oh, that was the whipped cream on top. It melted due to the heat of the waffle lol.

And lastly,

an insta-worthy picture.

This place opens till 2am late night and offer other food, like pasta. They also offer brunches in the noon.

Well, I think it's a great place for friends to hang out at night. Also, you can fix your sweet tooth. If you don't feel like clubbing on a friday night, this place will be good for you to catch up.
